War Thunder’s PRC National Day Event Offers Up to 50% Off Packs and a Decal Trophy
The event runs through October 8 at 09:00 GMT, with 3,000 mission points in Chinese Rank III vehicles required for the trophy.
War Thunder‘s National Day of the PRC event is live through October 8 at 09:00 GMT, with up to 50% off eligible Gaijin Store packs, three limited-time vehicle offers for Golden Eagles, and a trophy containing one of four decals. Gaijin Entertainment outlined the event in its Steam announcement.
October 1 marks the founding of the People’s Republic of China, proclaimed in Beijing in 1949. The event’s store discounts and in-game rewards run for one week.
Two or more eligible packs unlock the 50% discount
The Gaijin Store promotion covers seven packs: Type 96A Prototype, J-7D Pack, JH-7A Prototype Pack, Su-30MKK (China) Pack, ZTZ96B Pack, Z-19E Pack, and Type 69-IIa Pack. Adding one eligible pack to the cart gives a 30% discount. Two or more eligible packs in a single purchase bring the discount to 50%. Each pack can also be purchased on its own at 30% off.
The 50% offer only applies when the eligible packs are added to the cart and bought together in one transaction. Other vehicle packs, Golden Eagles, and Premium account time are excluded.
Three vehicles are available for Golden Eagles
Players can also purchase the Type 69-IIa, Т-62 №545, and JH-7A Prototype at a 30% discount for Golden Eagles. They are listed under China > Army / Aviation > Premium vehicles, and can only be purchased during the event.
- Type 69-IIa, Rank V: 5,866 Golden Eagles. Based on the Type 69-II, it replaces that tank’s smoothbore gun with the 100 mm rifled gun from the Type 59. Its features include high-penetration shells, smoke, night vision, and a laser rangefinder.
- Т-62 №545, Rank VI: 6,111 Golden Eagles. The Soviet tank fought in the 1969 battle for Damansky Island, where it was knocked out and later captured by Chinese engineers. Its 115 mm gun has a long reload, and its HEAT and APFSDS ammunition supports a more measured, second-line role.
- JH-7A Prototype, Rank VIII: 6,860 Golden Eagles. Its distinctive camouflage separates it from the research-tree version. Its weapons include laser-, satellite-, and infrared-guided bombs, Kh-29T fire-and-forget air-to-surface missiles, PL-8 and PL-5EII air-to-air missiles, and countermeasures.
Earn 3,000 mission points for the decal trophy
From October 1 at 09:00 GMT through October 8 at 09:00 GMT, earn 3,000 mission points in battles using Chinese vehicles at Rank III or higher to receive the “National Day of the PRC” trophy. The trophy awards one of four decals: “Huabiao,” “Emblem of PRC,” “National Day of the People’s Republic of China 2024,” or “National Day of the People’s Republic of China 2025.” They appear in the Holidays section of the customization menu.
Players who already have all three decals receive a trophy containing one of these rewards: a 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles, a 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles, 3-5 universal backups, or 1 day of Premium account time. The task counts in random battles except for Assault mode, and the reward must be collected manually after completion. Track progress in the hangar under Nickname > Achievements > Holidays > National Day of the PRC.
