Darktide Patch 1.13.0 Begins Rolling Out Before the Depths of the Damned Update

The free update will arrive at 14:00 CEST on September 29 with a three-mission story campaign, the Spillway mission, a new boss, six weapon variants, and a major balance pass.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Patch 1.13.0 is now rolling out on all platforms, while the Depths of the Damned free update will release later on September 29 at 14:00 CEST. Fatshark published the full Steam patch notes, covering the new campaign content, weapon additions, class changes, performance work, and a long list of fixes. The update follows the earlier Golden Toughness and class-build preview, which detailed the planned Golden Toughness changes, talent-tree revisions, and weapon balance work before the full patch notes became available.

Once the free content arrives, strike teams will enter the three-mission Terrors of the Deep mini-campaign. Its final mission, Spillway, sends players beneath the Torrent to face the new Prophet of Decay boss. The update also adds six weapon variants, including the Krourk Mk IIa Cruncher, Huntsman’s Shotgun Accatran Mk III, Double-Barrelled Shotgun Krourk Mk IV, and Thugshot Lorenz Mk VII.

Combat builds will need a closer look too. Golden Toughness is losing its Spillover Immunity, the original four classes are receiving talent-tree changes, Skitarius is getting targeted tuning, and Thunder Hammers are receiving one of the largest weapon passes in the update. Players may need to make partial loadout adjustments when the revised talent trees break existing connections.

Spillway is a new mission set in the sewers beneath an ancient dam. Players will aid the Ragged King, clear out the Traitorous Sixth, and confront the Prophet of Decay, a powerful Psyker of Nurgle.
