PEAK Patch 2.5.a Targets Reconnection Deaths and Room Code Problems

Its notes also cover a Citadel campfire badge bug, Kiln lava artifacts, anti-sphere fall damage, and restored menu music.

PEAK Patch 2.5.a focuses on multiplayer problems that can turn a reconnect or room-code join into a dead end. Reconnecting players should no longer return dead when they are still alive, while joining a nonexistent room code should no longer disable the menu buttons. The Steam announcement for Patch 2.5.a also lists fixes for a Citadel badge issue, THE KILN visuals, and cross-region loading.

Badge progress gets attention too. Loading a save from the THE CITADEL campfire had prevented players from earning the Medieval History badge. The notes also stop cloned fuel items from spontaneously recharging, fix a skeleton reconnect or save-loading death case, and address visual artifacts in the lava streams.

The patch includes a reduction to fall damage when leaving an anti-sphere, along with the return of the original menu music. Mesh optimizations in the final biome round out the smaller technical changes.
