God of War Laufey pre-orders will open on September 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Sony’s PlayStation Blog announcement details the pre-order rewards, special editions, and new combat information for Faye. The game’s PS5 release remains scheduled for February 16, 2027, as outlined in the announced release date.
Pre-ordering the game will provide the Last Wish Armor Set, the Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance, and an in-game resource pack. The armor and Phranque appearance will unlock through story progression. Physical Standard Edition buyers will receive the bonus through a download code, and redeeming it requires an internet connection and PlayStation account.
Digital Deluxe includes Dark Alchemy gear
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the pre-order rewards along with themed equipment and digital extras. Its listed contents are:

Faye’s Serpent Bow supports several firing styles
Faye’s main ranged weapon in the Everywhen is the Serpent Bow, an enchanted bow that can move from a dormant state to a ready shot almost instantly. It supports both close-range and ranged attacks, allowing Faye to combine arrows with her other weapons and abilities.
Full aim rewards precision
Fully pressing the aim trigger places Faye in a more precise stance with greater draw distance. The bow can slow time while she aims, letting her target several points on an enemy. Striking specific parts can impair movement or attacks and open the way for a melee follow-up.
Faye can also charge the bow while using full aim and store up to five arrows for a stronger volley. That attack can work with Phranque’s ability to launch enemies into the air.
Half aim keeps Faye moving
A half press of the aim trigger switches Faye into a mobile hip-fire stance. She can fire a cluster of arrows at close range, juggle airborne enemies, and extend combos while switching between weapons and abilities.
Different arrow types support rapid fire, explosive attacks, and multi-target strikes. The bow can also use different Scales, which change its appearance and add perks aimed at different playstyles. Unlockable skills will expand the Serpent Bow’s capabilities as Faye progresses.
Faye’s gear supports different playstyles
Armor offers different perks, stats, and appearances, while the rest of Faye’s equipment can be customized through three categories:
- Blade changes elements of Faye’s sword.
- Scales customize the elemental properties of the Serpent Bow.
- Catalyst items channel the magic of the Everywhen and provide different effects.
