Hunt: Showdown 1896 has added a new Mythos entry focused on Bloodskin, and the story starts with Warren Russett, a desperate father who placed his faith in Lynch’s promises. Hope turns into a curse for Russett, whose fate becomes the foundation for some of the Blood Testament event’s darkest creations. The Steam announcement presents the entry as another piece of the event’s monster story.
Russett’s story gives Bloodskin a human cost before the creature becomes another danger in the bayou. His connection to Lynch ties Bloodskin to the ambitions driving the wider Blood Testament narrative, and the entry asks how far she will go and who she will sacrifice next.
Bloodskin had already been introduced as the third completed reward in the event’s Stage 3 progression and as the target of the Written in Blood challenge. The new Mythos entry focuses instead on why this creature exists and how it connects to Lynch’s plans.
