PGA TOUR 2K25 and The Division 2 will be free to try for every Xbox member from Thursday, September 24, through Sunday, September 27. Microsoft’s Xbox Wire announcement also confirms two more trials for Game Pass members, creating a lineup that moves from golf and prison escapes to life on Jupiter and a fight to rebuild Washington, D.C.
No Game Pass subscription is required for PGA TOUR 2K25 or The Division 2 during the event. The Escapists 2 and Young Suns are reserved for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members.
Two games are open to all Xbox members
PGA TOUR 2K25 Standard Edition gives players a weekend on the fairways with Ranked Tours at the Championship at Del Cerro. The event also includes themed Ranked Rewards for MyPLAYER, while the featured Quest, The Captain’s Call, asks players to hit 5 fairways in regulation, make 5 birdies in one round, and sink 3 putts from 10 or more feet.
Completing the golf quest awards 250 VC, 3 Fittings, a LVL↑ Token, 600 MyPLAYER XP, and a Silver Leather Watch cosmetic. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 sends players into a pandemic-ravaged Washington, D.C. for cover-based third-person shooting. The open-world RPG can be played alone or with friends, and its Standard Edition is discounted by up to 90% for a limited time. Xbox Series X|S optimization is also included.
Game Pass adds two more trials
The Escapists 2 turns prison life into a co-op puzzle. Players can follow the rules, gather ordinary objects such as soap and socks, turn them into escape tools, and adjust their plans when guards and other prisoners ruin the schedule. Plans can also end with a fistfight when a quieter route stops being an option.
Young Suns is a multiplayer narrative life sim set around Jupiter after a successful revolution against predatory corporations. Players can travel between moonlets, converted stations, and derelict ruins aboard a customizable spaceship, either alone or with up to 3 friends. Repairing broken items, donating supplies, building relationships, and helping rebuild society all form part of the experience. The game supports console and PC, along with Xbox Series X|S optimization, Smart Delivery, and Xbox Play Anywhere.
How to access the September 24 trials
On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, open the Xbox Store and select the Subscriptions tab, then find the Free Play Days collection. Players can also open each game’s page on Xbox.com and sign in to see the install option linked to an eligible membership. Young Suns can also be installed on PC by eligible Game Pass members.
Purchasing any of the games or other editions during the event lets players continue after the trial while keeping Gamerscore and achievements earned during the event. Discounts, percentages, and availability can vary by game and region.
