Dune: Awakening’s Stream Battle Will Unlock Free Cosmetics and Up to $20,000 for Charity
From September 22 through September 29, Twitch creators will choose House Atreides or House Harkonnen and build Influence toward rewards and donations.
Dune: Awakening will turn its Twitch community into two rival Houses from September 22 through September 29, 2026, with viewers helping unlock free cosmetics and up to $20,000 in donations to charity: water. Funcom detailed the week-long Battle for Control of Arrakis in its Steam announcement.
Participating streamers will choose House Atreides or House Harkonnen before playing Dune: Awakening and completing in-game challenges. The XP they earn will contribute to their House’s Influence, moving both factions toward community milestones. Each milestone will bring the campaign closer to streamer giveaways and donations from Funcom.
Viewers can support their chosen House
The campaign will also give viewers a direct role in the rivalry. During select livestream moments, chat commands will let viewers help their preferred House earn additional XP. Stream overlays created by GetRekt will display the contest’s progress, while Nitrado will provide dedicated Dune: Awakening infrastructure for participating streamers.
Once a giveaway unlocks, each streamer will decide when to trigger it on their channel. Viewers can tune in to participating Twitch streams between September 22 and September 29, watch the challenges unfold, and take part in chat interactions when they become available.
Rewards include DLC and Arrakis-themed cosmetics
The giveaways may include the Raiders of the Broken Land DLC alongside several new and returning cosmetic items. The reward lineup includes the Atreides Battle Rifle Skin, Maula Pistol Richese Skin, Atreides Warship Carving Wall Decoration, and A Memory of Pain Mural.
House Influence will also unlock guaranteed donations from Funcom when the campaign reaches its qualifying thresholds. The total can reach $20,000 for charity: water, a nonprofit that has worked with local partners since 2006 to fund sustainable clean-water projects for communities around the world.
