STALCRAFT: X Balance Department Invites Questions on Weapon and Item Balance

Selected questions will receive personal answers from the Balance Department through a dedicated Discord thread.

STALCRAFT: X players now have a direct way to ask about the numbers behind the game’s weapons, items, and other balance decisions. The Balance Department is collecting questions for a player Q&A and plans to answer the most pressing ones personally.

The team opened the discussion in a Steam announcement, asking why certain weapons have their exact stats, why some items receive changes while others do not, and how those decisions are made. Questions can be submitted through the dedicated Discord thread.

The timing gives players plenty to discuss. STALCRAFT: X’s September 2 patch changed weapons, armor, artifacts, ammunition, grenades, attachments, and anomalous modules, including adjustments to popular options such as the Centurion, SR-3M, FAMAS G2, and several sniper rifles. The update also included broader changes to recoil, damage, movement penalties, and other combat statistics in the game’s September 2 balance pass.

The announcement does not give a date for the answers or say how many questions will be selected. For now, the best opportunity is to ask about the balance choices that have affected your preferred weapons, armor, or builds. Which change would you most like the department to explain? Share your question in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
