The First Descendant Penalized 877 Users in Its Sept. 11-17 Abuse Review

Uncooperative play accounted for 827 separate matchmaking penalties, while 32 more followed detections of unusual gameplay activity.

The First Descendant penalized 877 users during its abuse review covering Sept. 11 through Sept. 17, 2026, PDT. Most of the actions involved separate matchmaking penalties for uncooperative play, with additional penalties tied to unusual gameplay activity.

The figures come from the game’s Steam notice. The review also included permanent game bans for unauthorized programs and exploitation of the Open Store payment process, along with a temporary trading restriction.

How The First Descendant’s 877 penalties were divided

Uncooperative play led to 827 separate matchmaking penalties. Another 32 users received the same type of penalty after unusual gameplay activity was detected, bringing the matchmaking total to 859 actions.

Seven users received permanent game bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs. Ten more were permanently banned after gaining unfair benefits through exploitation of the Open Store payment process. One user received a 7-day trading restriction after abnormal transaction records were detected.

The total was 132 actions lower than the 1,009 penalties recorded during the Sept. 4 through Sept. 10 review, which was covered in the previous 1,009-user review.

The enforcement decisions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior can submit reports through The First Descendant’s in-game reporting feature. Users who want to dispute a penalty involving Open Store payment-process exploitation should contact Customer Service through the official website’s 1:1 Support option, while chargeback disputes must be directed to the platform store that handled the payment.
