Xbox Game Pass has set its next wave of availability dates, with 14 games arriving between September 15 and October 6. The schedule includes Minecraft Dungeons II, Dune: Awakening, and Gears of War: E-Day, alongside new additions for several Game Pass tiers. Xbox detailed the full September 2026 Game Pass schedule along with upcoming updates, benefits, and departures.
Cloud, console, handheld, and PC availability varies by game. Xbox says the Handheld designation applies to titles optimized for handheld play.
Game Pass additions from September 15 to September 23
- September 15 brings RuneScape: Dragonwilds to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. The co-op survival adventure takes players to Ashenfall, where dragons have returned and building, crafting, and survival skills lead toward a confrontation with the Dragon Queen.
- September 16 adds four games to Game Pass Premium, which already includes them through Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Marvel Cosmic Invasion supports 15 Marvel heroes in a side-scrolling beat ’em up, Planet of Lana II follows Lana and Mui through a cinematic puzzle adventure, Routine is a first-person sci-fi horror game set on an abandoned lunar base, and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon is a bike-racing party game where players build the course and place its traps. Their listed platforms range from cloud and PC to Xbox consoles and handheld devices.
- September 17 brings Kernel Hearts to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The action RPG combines roguelike elements with optional co-op and four magical characters. Ninja Gaiden 4 also arrives on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC through Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
- September 22 adds Dune: Awakening on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. The open-world survival game combines solo and multiplayer play with crafting, building, and RPG systems. Well Dweller also arrives on the same date through Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering a dark fairy-tale metroidvania starring Glimmer, a small bird armed with a matchstick.
- September 23 brings Mad King Redemption to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. Its beat ’em up combat is paired with roguelite progression and a pixel-art world.
Late September brings Black Ops 6 and Minecraft Dungeons II
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 arrives on September 25 for Cloud, console, handheld, and PC. It will join Game Pass Premium while remaining available through Ultimate and PC Game Pass, giving subscribers access to its campaign, multiplayer, and round-based Zombies mode.
Minecraft Dungeons II follows on September 29 for Cloud, console, handheld, and PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Players will travel into the Sift, fight unfamiliar enemies, and customize their equipment as they prepare for the sequel’s larger battles.
Keeper arrives on October 2 for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The wordless adventure follows an awakened lighthouse and a seabird companion as they move into strange realms. It will be available through Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
On October 6, Gears of War: E-Day joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S, handheld, PC, and cloud. The campaign takes place 14 years before the original Gears of War and follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde begins its assault.
Game Pass updates and benefits
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault reached its full 1.0 release on September 2 and is now available on Xbox Series X|S and cloud through Game Pass Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass. The action RPG combines dungeon runs with shop management.
Rematch joins Game Pass Essential on September 25, while remaining available through Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. Its 5v5 third-person soccer matches put each player in control of one athlete, with no offsides, fouls, or downtime.
EA Play subscribers will receive an early access trial for EA Sports FC 27 on console and PC starting September 18. Sea of Thieves Season 21 begins September 17, followed by a free play weekend from September 17 through September 21 that does not require a subscription. The season also adds a Parley Event, a new seasonal reward track, Bilge Rat Weekenders, and Fight Nights.
Game Pass members can also claim a Brawlhalla benefits pack on September 17 through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, Essential, and PC Game Pass. It includes the Kill Thrill Hattori Skin, Hattori Legend Unlock, and Regal Sun Sword Weapon Skin.
8 games leave Game Pass on September 30
