Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai Will Debut Dynamax Dialga and Palkia

The Nov. 6-8 citywide event will also introduce Hisuian Sliggoo, Hisuian Goodra, and a jacket-wearing Machamp.

Pokémon GO Wild Area 2026: Sendai • Tohoku will run from Nov. 6 through Nov. 8 across Sendai, Japan, with Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia making their Pokémon GO debuts in Five-Star Max Battles. The ticketed event will also introduce Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra, bring back Mighty Pokémon, and give Machamp a modern jacket.

Gameplay will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day. Trainers can purchase a one-day ticket for ¥4,000 plus applicable taxes and fees, with optional add-ons available. The event is citywide rather than limited to one park, so ticket holders will be able to play throughout Sendai on their chosen day.

Registration for the limited ticket supply will open Sept. 11 at 8:00 a.m. JST and close Sept. 15 at 7:59 a.m. JST. Registration is free, but it does not guarantee a ticket. Trainers looking for the full process can find the first-come registration details, including the four-ticket order limit and dedicated purchase window.

Dynamax Dialga and Palkia headline the Max Battles

Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia will appear in Five-Star Max Battles throughout the event. Both Pokémon can be Shiny, giving Trainers a new reason to gather for Max Battles in addition to collecting their Dynamax forms.

Three-Star Raids will feature Machamp wearing a modern jacket. The costumed Fighting-type Pokémon will know Karate Chop and can also appear in its Shiny form.

Hisuian Sliggoo and Goodra join the event

Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra will make their Pokémon GO debuts during GO Wild Area: Sendai • Tohoku. Hisuian Sliggoo will appear in the wild and can be Shiny. Trainers can evolve it into Hisuian Goodra with 100 Goomy Candy.

The event will also bring a large selection of Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon to Sendai. Habitat hours will alternate between Solid as Steel and Daring as Dragons, with every Pokémon appearing during those habitat windows able to be Shiny.

Solid as Steel encounters will include Beldum, Lucario, Metagross, Skarmory, Rookidee, Tinkatink, Orthworm, and Hisuian Sliggoo. Daring as Dragons will bring Dratini, Bagon, Gible, Axew, Deino, Goomy, Noibat, Jangmo-o, Frigibax, and Applin, among others.

Mighty Pokémon return with special catches

Mighty Pokémon will appear in the wild and from Incense during the event. They are more likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP values, and they have an increased chance of being XL or XXL. Mighty Pokémon can also be Shiny.

The returning Mighty roster includes Machamp, Alolan Exeggutor, Azumarill, Scizor, Kingdra, Aggron, Flygon, Walrein, Metagross, Empoleon, Bastiodon, Magnezone, Conkeldurr, Ferrothorn, Haxorus, Hydreigon, Goodra, Noivern, Tinkaton, Clodsire, Hawlucha, and Kommo-o. Ticket holders can also encounter Mighty Latias and Mighty Latios from Incense. Both can be Shiny and may flee quickly, making GO Safari Balls especially useful.

GO Safari Balls can be collected by spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms during event hours. Ticket holders will also receive access to GO Wild Area Supply Balloons, which appear once every hour. The balls can only be used from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on event days and will no longer be accessible after GO Wild Area: Global ends.

Incense and Egg encounters add more collection targets

Ticket holders can use Incense to encounter the Unown letters S, E, N, D, A, and I. Every one of those Unown forms can be Shiny. Incense can also produce Azumarill, Scizor, Kingdra, Aggron, Flygon, Empoleon, Bastiodon, Hawlucha, Conkeldurr, Hydreigon, and Kommo-o.

Honedge, Klefki, Drampa, and Duraludon will hatch from 10 km Eggs during the event, and all four can be Shiny. Ticket holders will have an increased chance of receiving 10 km Eggs from PokéStops and Gyms.

Ticket bonuses cover raids, trades, and research

Ticket holders will receive an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, half Egg Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event, two-hour Lure Modules, and two-hour Incense. Other bonuses include 2× Catch Candy, three GO Snapshot encounters per day, an increased daily Max Particle limit of 8,000, increased Max Particles from Power Spots and exploration, and a reduced 3/4 Max Particle cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves.

Spinning Gym Photo Discs will provide up to 10 free Raid Passes per day. Ticket holders can also make up to six Special Trades per day, with the Stardust cost for those trades reduced by half.

A branching Special Research story will ask Trainers to choose between Steel- and Dragon-type paths. Completing the selected path will award one of two in-game medals. Ticket holders can also take part in a Stamp Rally from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on their main ticketed day by visiting locations around Sendai and collecting in-game stamps.

Optional add-ons offer raid and Egg bonuses

The ¥2,000 Battle Ready Add-on will provide up to 18 free Raid Passes per day, 5,000 additional XP for completed raids, 2× XP from Max Battles, extra Candy and Candy XL from Five-Star and Mega Raids, and extra Candy from Max Battles.

The ¥2,000 Egg-thusiast Add-on will provide 1/4 Hatch Distance, 3× Hatch Stardust, 3× Hatch XP, and 3× Hatch Candy from Nov. 6 through Nov. 8. Trainers will be able to add these options after purchasing their event ticket.
