Pokémon GO’s Twilight Trails Research Breakthrough has expanded far beyond its usual size, with more than 50 possible Pokémon encounters identified for the current season. Research compiled on LeekDuck’s Research Breakthrough page includes unexpected names such as Venomoth, Persian, Claydol and Blipbug. Twilight Trails began on September 8 and runs through December 1, with weekly Research Breakthrough rewards among the season’s ongoing activities. The usual pool contains six possible encounters, making the current group much broader than Trainers may expect when claiming the reward.
The four Pokémon above are only examples rather than a complete list. The findings do not include encounter rates, so the size of the pool does not indicate which Pokémon a Trainer is most likely to receive.
For now, the expanded pool gives each weekly breakthrough a less predictable outcome. Trainers looking for a specific Pokémon will need to treat every reward as one possibility among many during Twilight Trails.
