Riot Games suspended FURIA jungler Pedro “Tatu” Seixas for one round of CBLOL on Sept. 9 and fined him R$15,000. He will miss every game in FURIA’s upper-bracket semifinal against LOS on Saturday, Sept. 12, after a conduct incident with RED Canids jungler Eloy “STEPZ” Rodríguez.

During the first round of the second-stage CBLOL 2026 playoffs on Sept. 6, Tatu passionately celebrated and shouted toward the opposing side before walking over to confront STEPZ. The exchange reportedly included STEPZ calling Tatu “a dog” and “a son of a bitch.”

The official ruling treats Tatu’s behavior as a repeat violation of the competition regulations and the Riot Games Global Esports Code of Conduct. FURIA can register an emergency substitute exclusively for the series against LOS, but it must notify the league and register that player by 13:00 Brazilian time on Thursday, Sept. 10. Tatu cannot play during any part of the scheduled series.

Tatu’s previous suspension is part of the ruling

Riot treated the confrontation as a repeat conduct offense. Tatu had already received a one-match suspension and a R$10,000 fine earlier this season after messaging an external friend about a build during champion select. That person was not a teammate, so coach Lucas Yudi “Luuukz” Higashi had to substitute for Tatu in the resulting match.

Tatu accepted responsibility in an apology posted on X. He said he had gone too far, needed to find a middle ground between intensity and restraint, and regretted that the punishment affected the entire FURIA lineup.

Reactions split over Tatu’s punishment

Former LEC caster Adrian “Jamada” Wharlton-Thorne called the suspension overkill and argued that fans want players with genuine personalities instead of carefully scripted answers. Former LEC and CBLOL coach Peter Dun took the opposite view, saying that entering the other team’s area crossed the line between ordinary trash talk and conduct that could become dangerous.

LCS caster Barento “Raz” Mohammed also warned about the confrontation, arguing that allowing one to develop during a live series could lead to a real fight and legal problems.

FURIA now has to replace its starting jungler for a playoff match while Tatu serves the suspension. The decision gives CBLOL a clear boundary for stage confrontations, even as the league continues to rely on player personalities and rivalries to draw attention to its matches.
