Escape from Tarkov’s To the Light Mission May Fail After a Successful Extraction
Two attempts reportedly ended in failure at Crossroads after the objective counter accepted the Scavs, PMCs, camera, and yellow flare steps.

Escape from Tarkov’s To the Light mission may fail even after its objectives appear complete. A player said two attempts ended the same way, with the task counting the required actions before registering a failure after extraction at Crossroads.
Both runs involved eliminating the Scavs and PMCs, stashing the camera near the air-conditioning unit, and launching the yellow flare from the pistol. The objective counter accepted those actions, but the mission still failed once the player extracted.
The flare step may be connected to the problem. When it was launched from the tent before the bus to Shoreline, aimed toward Customs, a “No space for this item” message appeared even though the objective counted as complete. The player said other people had encountered the same issue, although the available reports do not establish whether the message causes the failed extraction result.
[Bug] To the Light – False Call mission might be bugged for some

Trying a normal flare was being considered as a possible comparison, but no confirmed workaround was available. Until the behavior is clearer, players attempting False Call may want to keep the unexpected mission failure in mind after completing the flare sequence.
