Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 Will Focus on 2 New Modes Instead of a Hero

Gorr will be Season 10's only new character, while God Quarry is scheduled for September 24 and Season 11 will return to the regular 2-hero schedule.

Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 will not add another hero or map. Instead, the mid-season update will focus on phases 3 and 4 of the Path to Doomsday event, bringing 2 new game modes inspired by Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The change was confirmed during the latest Marvel Rivals developer diary. The game’s usual seasonal structure delivers one hero in each half, but Season 10 will be an exception. Gorr the God Butcher will arrive during the first half, and no second character will follow in Season 10.5.

Season 10, titled Butcher’s Blasphemy, will begin on September 11, 2026. Gorr is a Duelist who wields All-Black, the Necrosword, while God Quarry, a new Domination map, is scheduled to arrive on September 24.

Season 10.5 Will Prioritize the Path to Doomsday Event

The second half of the season will put the developers’ attention on the next 2 phases of Path to Doomsday. Those phases will add the new modes, but players should not expect another playable character or a second map alongside them.

The developers also reassured players that the single-hero format will not become the standard. Marvel Rivals will return to its regular 2-hero release schedule with Season 11, although no specific Season 11 launch date was provided.

Our Season 10 coverage has the wider launch details, including Gorr’s arrival and the expected seasonal content. For now, the main takeaway is clear: Season 10.5 will use its hero-free slot to expand the event instead.
