Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, but PlayStation Store timestamps now point to a staggered regional rollout with 15 release windows spread across roughly 19 hours. New Zealand could get access 18 hours before the US East Coast, while Australia also appears among the earliest regions for the game.
GTA Vice’s country-by-country breakdown uses PlayStation Store timestamps to map out the possible launch order. New Zealand would arrive 13 hours ahead of Britain, while the US East Coast would not receive access until 18 hours later. GTA 6 remains scheduled for November 19, 2026, the date discussed in our coverage of the launch schedule.
Mexico would be the last region to gain access, just after the United States. The earliest window could begin at local midnight in New Zealand, giving players there a substantial head start. Depending on the US region and the final schedule, some American players could be 19 hours behind the first launch window.
Players may also look toward the so-called New Zealand trick, a workaround used with other games that makes a console or device appear to be in New Zealand before a release becomes available elsewhere. There is no confirmation that it would work for GTA 6, and the PlayStation Store information could still be a placeholder.
Rockstar has not announced a regional rollout or confirmed that players will receive different access times across the 19-hour span. The company used a staggered launch for Red Dead Redemption 2, but not for GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, so the final plan can still change before November.
If the timing holds, splitting the launch across regions could spread download traffic and give Rockstar more room to manage the first hours of Grand Theft Auto VI. For now, the PlayStation Store data offers the clearest indication yet that New Zealand may get the first turn behind the wheel, but the final release plan remains unconfirmed.
