FiveM Enhanced will launch in early access on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The release will bring GTA RP support to the upgraded PC edition of Grand Theft Auto V, with changes that go well beyond basic compatibility.
FiveM became part of Rockstar Games in August 2023 and now serves as the studio’s official home for custom GTA multiplayer experiences. Its roleplay servers let players build characters, take on jobs, join player-run police departments, and create stories inside large community-run worlds.
The Enhanced version will use a separate client launcher from the Legacy edition. Players will be able to download it from the FiveM website once early access begins on July 21.
FiveM’s development team has rebuilt several core parts of the platform for the new release. The largest change is a redesigned network synchronization engine, which should reduce CPU usage and may improve frame rates. It will also lower bandwidth and memory demands for server owners, potentially allowing larger player counts on comparable hardware.
Network performance should hold up better under poor connection conditions, while server owners will be able to raise the tick rate as high as 120. That could give competitive roleplay servers more precise hit detection and steadier combat.
Custom scripts and existing servers will retain backwards compatibility. The update also adds stronger C# scripting support and a converter for bringing 3D assets to the Enhanced edition. A refreshed VoIP system, a new client installer, and updated developer tools round out the first wave of changes.
The team plans to keep working on FiveM Enhanced throughout early access, with more fixes and additions expected as players test the new client. A development update on the official forums describes the launch as the beginning of that process and asks the community to report problems as they appear.
FiveM Enhanced will be available on July 21, but it will not replace the existing Legacy client. Anyone moving over will need to install the separate launcher when it becomes available.
