Nintendo’s September 2026 Direct is set for Wednesday, September 9, with a 45-minute broadcast beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET. Nintendo has confirmed that the presentation will focus on Switch 2 games planned for this winter, giving the showcase a clear role beyond the Zelda anniversary broadcast scheduled for the previous day.

How to watch Nintendo’s September Direct
YouTube will be the main place to watch the September Nintendo Direct live. Nintendo plans to broadcast the presentation across multiple channels and languages, with regional streams airing at the same time and subtitles available where required.
Individual trailers and major reveals will also be published as separate videos after they appear during the presentation. Nintendo Treehouse: Live will follow the Direct with gameplay from a selection of games featured in the main broadcast, although Nintendo has not announced the Treehouse stream’s runtime.
Games Nintendo could show
Nintendo has confirmed the winter Switch 2 focus but has not published a complete segment-by-segment lineup. Games with December release dates, including Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition, could receive new looks during the presentation.
Release-date announcements are also possible for games that still have broad 2026 windows. The Duskbloods and the Switch 2 version of 007 First Light could receive firmer timing, although Nintendo has not confirmed that either game will appear.
Other rumors remain unconfirmed. Current leaks range from downloadable content for Mario Kart World to claims that a new Smash Bros. game could be announced.
An EB Games poster has also been linked to alleged release dates for several upcoming projects, including Metroid: Ravenous, Mario Sluggers, and a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. A release date for Nintendo Sports Resort has also been rumored. The Ocarina of Time remake could instead appear during the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, although Nintendo has not confirmed either presentation’s lineup.
The Pokémon Company could also have news during the 30th anniversary year of Pokémon. That announcement may be held for a separate Pokémon Presents broadcast if one is planned before the end of 2026.
