League of Legends 2026 Requirements Stay Low, but Windows Needs TPM 2.0
The minimum Windows setup calls for 2GB of RAM and 1GB of VRAM, while Mac support starts with macOS 10.15.

League of Legends remains accessible to players with older hardware in 2026, although Windows users still need DirectX 11-level hardware and TPM 2.0 enabled. Riot Games supports the game on Windows and macOS, with separate minimum and recommended specifications for each operating system.
League of Legends Windows PC requirements
The Windows requirements are fairly modest by current PC standards. The minimum configuration needs just 2GB of RAM, 1GB of VRAM, and 16GB of storage. Riot also requires Windows 10 Build 19041 or newer, Windows 11, and TPM 2.0 enabled.

TPM 2.0 is the main requirement to watch on a Windows machine. Riot added it alongside Vanguard in 2024, with the security system using the feature to verify system integrity and help limit cheating.
League of Legends Mac requirements
Mac players have a similarly low entry point. The minimum setup supports either an Intel Core i5-750 or an Apple M1, along with 2GB of RAM, 1GB of VRAM, and macOS 10.15. The recommended configuration raises the storage target to a 16GB SSD and the memory requirement to 4GB.

Riot’s official system requirements page notes that the minimum specifications for Windows and Mac can change. The company says it will try to give players several months of notice before making future changes.
League of Legends does not support Steam Deck
League of Legends is not compatible with Steam Deck. Riot supports Windows and macOS, but not Linux, Bazzite OS, or SteamOS. Installing the game through a workaround does not change the lack of official support.
How to check if your PC can run League of Legends
If you are unsure how your hardware compares with these requirements, the League of Legends PC benchmark can check your system and provide a result. The listed specifications are low enough that many older desktops and laptops should meet the minimum target, provided the Windows security requirements are also in place.
