Gen.G swept KT Rolster 3-0 in the LCK 2026 Season Playoffs, securing a top-three playoff finish and a place at Worlds 2026. The result also guaranteed T1 a Worlds berth, while KT Rolster will continue its playoff run from the lower bracket.
Gen.G built its lead across the first two games
The opening game lasted 35 minutes and became a chaotic fight from start to finish. KT Rolster actually finished with 16 kills compared with Gen.G’s 15, but Gen.G created the larger map lead with 76.2k gold and 9 towers to KT’s 68.2k gold and 6 towers. Gen.G used Camille, Lee Sin, Ryze, Yunara, and Lulu in the opener against KT’s Olaf, Pantheon, Orianna, Kalista, and Renata Glasc.
Gen.G had a much cleaner second game, winning after 32 minutes with a 14-7 kill score and an 11-3 tower advantage. Canyon finished 4-0-6 on Cho’Gath, while Chovy went 4-0-4 with Akali. KT’s Jiwoo led the team in kills with 5, but Gen.G controlled the rest of the map and finished with 68.8k gold against 58.0k for KT Rolster. The Game 2 breakdown records the series’ growing gap.
KT chose first pick and the blue side for Game 2, but Gen.G still found the winning formula on Patch 26.16. Kiin played Aatrox, Canyon picked Cho’Gath, Chovy brought out Akali, and Ruler and Duro completed the lineup with Ashe and Seraphine.
KT answered with PerfecT on Jayce, Cuzz on Nocturne, Bdd on Galio, Jiwoo on Zeri, and Effort on Lulu. Gen.G banned Cassiopeia, Jarvan IV, Nautilus, Syndra, and Sylas, while KT removed Poppy, Ezreal, Bard, K’Sante, and Anivia.
Gen.G then completed the sweep in the third game. The available match details do not list the final duration, scoreline, or MVP for that game, but they confirm the 3-0 result. The teams played the series on Patch 26.16.
KT Rolster will continue in the lower bracket
KT Rolster’s playoff run is not over, but the loss removed the team from the upper bracket. KT will await the winner of the DK versus BFX series for its next lower-bracket match.
For Gen.G, the sweep delivered more than a place in the next stage. The team’s victory locked in its Worlds 2026 qualification, and T1 also secured a spot because of the result. The LCK playoff race now has even more weight for the teams still fighting to join them.
