Enshrouded is currently at its lowest price so far, but the bargain has a clear deadline. The game costs €22.49 on Steam during PVE Survival Crafting Fest, and Keen Games will raise its price by €10 to €39.99 on September 8.
The festival runs through September 7 at 10:00 a.m. PT. Buying Enshrouded during the sale means paying nearly €17.50 less than the upcoming price, although regional equivalents may differ.
Keen Games explained the change in its Steam announcement, saying Enshrouded has grown across its features and content during Early Access. The studio had always planned to raise the price when Early Access ends, a plan included in the game’s Early Access FAQ, and said the higher price will support continued development.
The timing gives players who are waiting for the finished version a simple choice. Enshrouded’s planned 1.0 launch is scheduled for October 15, but anyone who wants the lower price can buy before the current sale ends. Those who would rather wait and see how the final release turns out can still do so, with the understanding that the price will be €39.99 afterward.
Keen Games also gave current owners a playful reason to pass the deal along, joking that its community estimates most players know at least one other person who might want Enshrouded at the lower price. Even players who know nobody, apparently, still made it far enough through the announcement to earn a tip of the studio’s hat.
