Enshrouded’s 1.0 improvements will focus on performance and existing systems

Keen Games has begun showing the work ahead of October 15, with more videos planned in the coming weeks and the full release changelog planned for October.

Enshrouded’s 1.0 launch is getting closer, and Keen Games is now showing how it plans to improve systems already in the game while raising performance across a wider range of PCs. In a Steam announcement posted August 27, the studio said its October 15 release date is now a little over six weeks away.

For the moment, Keen is focusing on existing features rather than presenting a full list of new additions. The studio said the videos cover some of the larger changes planned for 1.0, while a much longer breakdown will arrive with the Highlights video and release changelog in October.

The first video offers an early look at those upcoming improvements.

Performance is another major part of the 1.0 work. After years of adding systems, world details, and visual improvements, Keen Games wants Enshrouded to run better on low- and mid-range systems. The team even joked that the game’s forests full of bamboo might have something to do with the challenge.

A second video goes behind the scenes with the technical work that powers Enshrouded. Keen described it as the team’s second behind-the-scenes look, giving players a closer view of how the game’s systems work under the hood.

More videos are planned for the coming weeks. Some of the team is also attending Gamescom, where Keen Games is showing upcoming changes to the press and demoing the PS5 version of Enshrouded. The announcement did not include a PS5 release date.
