THE FINALS Update 11.7.0 Gives Shockwave a 2-Second Glitch Effect
The patch also fixes crashes on PS5, Xbox weapon audio crackle, private-match spectator colors, and AMD FSR3 performance issues.
THE FINALS Update 11.7.0 gives Shockwave a new 2-second glitch effect while bringing a guitar-themed store set and another week of Deep Signal activity to the Arena. It also targets crashes, Xbox weapon audio, private-match spectator colors, and AMD FSR3 performance. Embark Studios detailed the changes in its Steam announcement for Update 11.7.0.
Feedback Looper brings a rock-show look
The Feedback Looper Set is the main store addition in this update. Its look centers on a leather outfit, sunglasses, and guitar-playing style, giving contestants a concert-inspired way to enter the Arena.
Deep Signal keeps Orbital Hitters active
Orbital Hitters continues as part of the Deep Signal event, with contestants still taking fights into outer space under ENGIMO sponsorship. Players have one week remaining to complete their daily contracts, which can award up to three tickets per day for the ENGIMO-sponsored reward wheel.
The mode remains the event’s combat centerpiece after its return in Update 11.6.0, giving players another reason to keep checking in before the contract window closes.
TGM25 bundles enter their final week
The Grand Major 2025 Store Bundles are also available for their final week. Players who still want one of the packs have a limited window to pick up the cosmetics and revisit the event’s tournament-themed style.
THE FINALS Update 11.7.0 patch notes
The gameplay portion of the update focuses on one Shockwave adjustment. Enemy players hit by the Medium Specialization will receive a two-second glitch effect, while friendly players, the user, and deployables remain unaffected. The rest of the changes address platform-specific audio and save issues, crashes tied to Unreal Engine 5.7, private-match spectator colors, and performance when AMD FSR3 is active.
Specializations
Shockwave
- Shockwave will now apply a two second long glitch effect to enemy players it hits. The glitch effect does not impact friendly players, the user or deployables.
Dev Note: Shockwave has been the least used of the Medium Specializations for a while, yet we see in it the potential to give Mediums more survivability, as well as allowing Mediums a skill-based counter to Specializations like Mesh Shield, Cloaking Device and Evasive Dash. We think the addition of this glitch ‘micro stun’ should elevate the Specialization in desirability as well as effectiveness
