007 First Light will receive Path Tracing on September 15, 2026, adding a new layer of RTX-powered visual detail to IO Interactive’s Bond adventure. The feature is being developed with NVIDIA and is presented as a major graphics upgrade for the game.
IO Interactive shared the timing in a Steam announcement, which also promoted performance of up to 280 FPS. The final frame rate will depend on the hardware and settings used, but the target gives players an idea of how far the new presentation can be pushed.
Path Tracing is designed to improve how light behaves across the game’s environments, from bright sparks and reflections to the darker corners where Bond’s spycraft tends to unfold. It should make the explosive set pieces look even more dramatic when the feature arrives.
A full trailer for the feature is also available, offering a closer look at the RTX presentation planned for September.
With the September 15 release date confirmed, players will not have to wait much longer to see how 007 First Light looks with Path Tracing enabled. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
