Pokémon GO is giving some Trainers a quicker way to check their catches, with a new Quick Appraise button appearing on at least one Android account. The dedicated circular control sits above the familiar Menu button on the Pokémon detail screen, opening the appraisal screen directly instead of sending players through the usual Menu and Appraise options.
The feature was shared in a Reddit post tied to Android version 0.425.1. Its availability is limited to some accounts for now, so the change does not appear to be active for every Trainer.

With Quick Appraise, Trainers can reach this information immediately after opening a Pokémon, cutting out the extra menu step when checking stats, moves, or potential battle candidates. Repeated appraisals should be much faster once players get used to the new button’s position.
Old habits have already caused one funny problem. One Trainer said their muscle memory kept sending their thumb toward the familiar control, leading them to favorite Pokémon by accident. A Sandshrew screen showing the new layout places the circular Appraise button above the Menu button in the lower-right corner.
The reported adjustment concerns access to Appraise rather than a change to appraisal results. The feature’s wider availability has not been confirmed, so Trainers who do not see the new control may still be using the older menu path for now.
For now, the Android account running version 0.425.1 is the clearest indication that Pokémon GO is trying out a faster appraisal shortcut.
