He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will not launch in 2026 after all. Bitmap Bureau and publisher Limited Run Games have moved the retro beat-’em-up to early 2027, though no specific month has been announced.
The game had originally been planned for April 28, 2026, only to face a delay two weeks before release. Limited Run Games later gave it a summer window, but that target has now been replaced by the broader 2027 timeframe.
In an April 14 notice, Limited Run Games said development was nearing its end but that the team needed more time before sending players into Eternia. The publisher also promised an arcade-style adventure starring He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and She-Ra.

The game is planned as a digital release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Bitmap Bureau’s approach leans into chunky sprites and classic arcade beat-’em-up action, giving the project a distinctly old-school look.
Bitmap Bureau, a UK-based studio, also released Terminator 2D: No Fate late in 2025. Dragon Pearl of Destruction will now have more time before its eventual launch, but Limited Run Games has not shared a new date beyond early 2027.
