Into the Radius 2 is coming to PS VR2 on September 24

The survival shooter will launch with a single-player campaign, while free two-player co-op is planned for Q4 2026.

Into the Radius 2 will bring its survival-focused VR shooter to PlayStation VR2 on September 24, 2026. CM Immersive announced the release date in a PlayStation Blog post, confirming that the game will launch with a single-player campaign before receiving free two-player co-op in Q4 2026.

The return to the Pechorsk Anomaly is built around careful preparation rather than charging into every fight. Gear placement, weapon upkeep, hostile entities, and unpredictable hazards all have a direct effect on whether a run ends in success or a very expensive trip back to base.

Build a loadout that fits your hands

Into the Radius 2 gives players far more control over how they carry their equipment. Chest rigs, armor vests, and backpacks can be arranged by changing the exact position and angle of individual pouches and holsters. A sidearm can sit ready at the hip, while magazines or other tools can be placed where they are easiest to reach in the dark.

Weapons are just as customizable. Barrels, stocks, optics, grips, and magazines can be swapped to support different approaches, and equipment can be painted with more than 15 solid colors and 10 camouflage patterns.

Maintenance is also handled piece by piece. Every modular weapon component tracks its own dirt and wear, so cleaning spray and a brush need to be applied across the individual parts. Ignore that routine between expeditions and a dirty component can leave a rifle jammed at the worst possible moment.

The Pechorsk Anomaly is more dangerous

The sequel expands the Anomaly with twisted remnants of ordinary life, scattered notes, frozen human remains, and household objects changed by the Radius. The setting is not simply a backdrop; it is packed with clues about what happened there and plenty of reasons to keep looking over your shoulder.

Enemies now behave in ways that punish predictable tactics. Mimics use cover and coordinate flanking attacks through the fog, while Fragments push directly into a player’s defenses. Phantoms remain difficult to see until movement stops, and Creeps rely on speed and agility to overwhelm anyone who loses focus.

The terrain brings its own threats. Some anomalies charge up before releasing electric shocks or high-speed shrapnel, while others drain nearby light and leave the area in darkness. Certain hazards attach themselves to the player before detonating, and force fields can throw them backward on contact.

Distortion Zones require specialized anti-distortion headgear to stop health from draining over time. The Tide also changes the rules from one run to the next by resetting enemy positions and loot spawns, making it risky to depend on a single familiar route.

PS VR2 features support the survival systems

Into the Radius 2 is designed around the PS VR2 hardware, with several features aimed at making weapons and threats easier to read through touch and sound.

Sense controller adaptive triggers provide different resistance for firearm actions, giving each trigger pull its own feel. Headset and controller haptics add feedback for anomaly pulses and close-range impacts, while 3D Audio can reveal a nearby hazard or footsteps approaching from the side.

The game will also target native 90FPS performance and use eye-tracked foveated rendering. That combination is intended to keep distant anomalies and dense fog clear without giving up smooth movement.

Two-player co-op is planned for Q4 2026

The September launch will focus on the complete single-player campaign. CM Immersive plans to follow it with a free update in Q4 2026 that adds two-player co-op, allowing partners to share resources, watch each other’s sightlines, and plan their way through the Anomaly together.

September 24 will put the sequel’s loadout tinkering, weapon care, and hostile fog in the hands of PS VR2 players.
