PC players can now follow Astarion into a separate Baldur’s Gate 3 adventure lasting around six hours. Created by modder lizardphunk, A Dream of Silence: ReVamped features four possible endings, six new companions, and three acts that were released separately over the past twelve months before being brought together as one complete campaign. Its storyline is built around rescuing the vampire elf from Cazador’s mansion.
The project adapts a browser-based text adventure created by Abigail Corfman, which is still available through her official website. Its version inside Larian Studios’ RPG turns that story into a custom campaign with new dialogue, rewards, combat encounters, and boss fights.
Astarion’s mind becomes the campaign’s dungeon
The story takes place inside Astarion’s mind, where a Bastellus—a living nightmare that feeds on dream energy—controls the dreamscape. The player character is projected into Astarion’s thoughts and must help him escape through a warped version of Cazador’s mansion.
Three acts, six companions, and four endings
The campaign changes its structure from act to act. Act One focuses mainly on dialogue, while Act Two introduces the new companions and mechanics alongside battles and conversations. The third and final act completes the campaign, bringing all three sections together in one finished story.
Each of the six companions comes with their own dialogue lines and rewards, giving the party more than a simple cosmetic makeover. The campaign also includes a small but wonderfully strange detail: a kitty that may accept scritches.
Astarion’s rescue is not mandatory, either. Players can attempt to pull him out of the nightmare version of Cazador’s mansion or take another route, with those decisions shaping how the campaign concludes.
lizardphunk created A Dream of Silence: ReVamped to demonstrate what can be done with Baldur’s Gate 3‘s modding tools. The finished campaign is available through Nexus Mods, giving players a self-contained story to try.
For now, A Dream of Silence: ReVamped is available only on PC. Console players will have to wait unless the mod’s creator or Larian Studios announces broader support.
The campaign arrives as Baldur’s Gate 3’s mod scene continues to grow beyond small tweaks and cosmetic additions. Larian Studios had reported more than 350 million mod downloads by December 2025, and a project with several hours of authored content, new party members, branching conclusions, and custom encounters shows how much room the game’s tools leave for fan-made stories.
