Webedia Will End Its Work With the LFL in 2027

The company has disengaged from its contract with France's League of Legends ERL, according to former coach and streamer Zaboutine.

Webedia will no longer work with the League of Legends French ERL, known as the LFL, in 2027 after disengaging from its contract with the competition.

Former coach and streamer Zaboutine reported the decision during On refait le Nash. Sheep Esports FR also documented the news in a post about the LFL’s upcoming organizer change.

Webedia has organized the LFL since the competition was created in 2019, but its work with the league will end after 2026. N.E.O. (New Esports Org) is in talks with Riot Games and local stakeholders about taking over the LFL’s operation in 2027. The handover is not final, and Riot has not announced how the league will be run after Webedia’s departure, leaving those details unknown for now.

Founded by former Webedia Head of Esports Bertrand Amar and former Webedia member Matthieu Dallon, N.E.O. already has experience organizing major esports projects. The agency has handled LoL Game Changers Rising, the Nova Series women’s tournaments, and EMEA Masters, while also running EVO France fighting game events and the EVA Pro League virtual-reality competition.

The LFL’s next chapter will begin without Webedia involved in its organization. Share your thoughts on the change in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
