Starship Troopers: Extermination’s August Update 12 Will Nearly Double X-11

The roadmap also schedules the Hopper Bug for October and a new Galactic Front for mid-December.

Offworld Industries has outlined the next few months for Starship Troopers: Extermination, with Update 12 planned for August and a much larger X-11 map at the center of the release. The developer shared the schedule in its August 2026 development update, which also covers updates planned for October and December.

The team is approaching its twelfth post-launch update after two years of ongoing work. That support has included bug fixes, performance work, quality-of-life changes, weapons, enemy Bugs, missions, and maps. June’s Update 11 most recently added Field Showers, Daily Critical Dispatches, and the DSV Service Record.

Update 12 will expand X-11

The August update will bring the fight back to X-11, with the map growing to nearly twice its current size. That extra space will create more locations for base construction, combat, and mission objectives.

The Galactic Front will also return with new Perks and the Morita Mk 3. Update 12 will include a broad round of bug fixes, optimizations, and quality-of-life improvements, although Offworld Industries has not shared a specific release date beyond August.

Hopper Bugs arrive with Update 13

Update 13 is planned for October, when the game will celebrate its anniversary with the arrival of the Hopper Bug. The aerial Arachnid threat will add a new kind of danger to the battlefield, though further details have not been announced yet.

The October update will also introduce Camp Rasczak, an expanded and revamped Building Tutorial. Offworld Industries said the tutorial will cover more than the basic act of putting structures together and plans to share additional information as the update gets closer.

Update 14 is planned for mid-December

Update 14 is scheduled for mid-December. Its current plans include a new Galactic Front, New Daily Missions, New DSV Service records, optimizations, and other additions that have not been detailed.

Looking further ahead, the team will begin sharing early plans for 2027 in November. Those teases will stay intentionally limited for now, but Offworld Industries said more content is still planned for the troopers.
