Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 05 Reloaded Will Add Rex Infernus on August 20
The mid-season update will also bring Turbo Tilt, Freerun: Descent, Black Ops Royale, and a final free-to-play window for Endgame.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone will receive Season 05 Reloaded on August 20 at 9:00 AM PT across all platforms. The mid-season release closes the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline with the Rex Infernus map, while also adding new Multiplayer content, Warzone modes, weapons, events, and the last free-to-play window for Endgame. The official Season 05 Reloaded announcement outlines what players can expect.
Endgame Keeps the Burn Run Going
The limited-time Burn Run Assignment will continue in Avalon. Operators will find a skull icon on the Tac Map, then head to the marked location and take control of a Guild-rigged UTV. Each course sends players through flaming checkpoints while enemies and obstacles attack from the road.
Hitting targets adds time to the clock, but the vehicle can take damage. Repair power-ups keep the UTV moving, while Boost power-ups can help shave seconds off a run. The three tracks offer different recommended Combat Ratings and rewards:
- Old Arsenal: No recommended Combat Rating; awards 500 Power and a random reward.
- High Town: Recommended Combat Rating 30; awards 1,250 Power and a random reward.
- Low Town: Recommended Combat Rating 45; awards 2,000 Power and a random reward.

Endgame will remain free to play through the end of Season 05, giving friends another chance to form a squad and work through its Operations and other PvE challenges. Once Season 06 begins, the mode will leave the Warzone menu and become available only to players who own Black Ops 7.
Turbo Tilt and Freerun: Descent Lead the Multiplayer Additions
Turbo Tilt is a new small-sized Multiplayer map built around a giant pinball machine inspired by Nuketown. It supports 6v6 and 2v2 matches, with ramps, bumpers, interactive targets, flippers, and pinballs turning the battlefield into a very loud arcade cabinet. The map also includes familiar Nuketown touches such as the Bus, the House, the desert setting, and the central mushroom cloud.

Freerun: Descent puts teams of 10 Operators into a timed race across seven zones. Wall jumps, slides, Wingsuit sections, target practice, Grappling Gun segments, boost pads, portals, and shortcuts all appear along the route. Falling from the course adds a fault and sends the Operator back to the last checkpoint.
- Complete the course three times for the “Eyes on Screen” Emblem and 1,000 XP.
- Collect every Cipher for the “Catch Air” Weapon Charm and 2,500 XP.
- Finish in under 12 minutes with fewer than 10 faults for the “Gridlock” Universal Weapon Camo and 5,000 XP.
The returning Cranked Moshpit also brings its countdown-based rules back to Multiplayer. Eliminations activate Cranked mode, grant Operator buffs, and start the timer. More eliminations and objective play add time, while reaching zero ends the player’s life in an explosion.
Killstreak milestones provide increasingly strong buffs: the first streak improves movement and Field Upgrade recharge, the second improves hip-fire accuracy and sprint-to-fire speed, the third boosts ADS and weapon-swap speed, the fourth improves reload speed and refills equipment on kills, and the fifth grants increased score and headshot damage. The playlist rotates through Cranked Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Demolition.
Rex Infernus Brings the Final Black Ops 7 Zombies Map
Rex Infernus is the final round-based Zombies map in the Black Ops 7 storyline. The crew must cleanse the Shadowsmith places of power, reach the Warden’s inner sanctum, and stop reality from being destroyed.
Two new enemy types will make that task considerably messier. Deathspinners move quickly, attack in groups, and fire web projectiles that slow the crew. The elite Web Mother uses lunges and webs to damage and hinder players, while also cocooning zombies and turning them into hazards around the map. The new Titan Trap draws nearby zombies in before smashing them with a ground-shaking attack.
The Rex Infernus Main Quest will be available when the map launches on August 20 at 9:00 AM PT. Completing it awards the “Bloodthorn” Wonder Weapon Skin, a Calling Card, and 10,000 XP. Gathering the required Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts grants another Calling Card and 10,000 XP, while players who finish the quest before Directed Mode arrives will receive a special Calling Card variant.
The Rex Infernus Mastery Challenge awards an Animated Calling Card and 10,000 XP, with individual map challenges providing XP and static Calling Cards. Cursed Mode removes Main Quest guidance, limits the HUD, and restricts players to a starting Pistol.
Widow’s Wine is the new Perk-a-Cola. Its melee-triggered web explosions can damage enemies and create several build options: Widow’s Bite can overcharge health from melee kills on cocooned enemies, Hatchling can summon a friendly Deathspinner, Web Spinner creates a slowing field, and Tangled Web cocoons Normal and Special enemies while slowing Elites. Other augments reduce the cooldown, increase the blast radius, extend the web effect, or apply webs to enemies that survive thrown explosives.
The Fully Packed Ultra GobbleGum immediately raises a current weapon to Pack-a-Punch Level III in Zombies. In Dead Ops Arcade, it instead provides a Tactical Armor Vest or a full set of armor plates.
Two Ultra-Rarity Legacy Weapons will also appear in the Rex Infernus Mystery Box: the long-range TR2 Marksman Rifle and close-range Olympia Shotgun. Both have stats comparable to a Wonder Weapon and support full Pack-a-Punch progression and Ammo Mods.
Warzone Gets Black Ops Royale and Loaded Resurgence
Black Ops Royale returns to Avalon as a Blackout-inspired Battle Royale mode without Loadouts, Gulags, or Buy Stations. Squads must scavenge weapons, find Attachment Kits to raise weapon rarity, and survive against 24 rival squads. Enhanced objectives, dangerous areas with hallucinated zombie hordes, and only two redeployment methods add pressure to each match.
Loaded Resurgence will be the featured Weekend limited-time mode, supporting 44 players across Rebirth Island, Haven’s Hollow, and Fortune’s Keep. Players begin with their custom Loadout weapons and keep those weapons during redeploys, but Perks must be earned through eliminations. Enough kills unlock the Specialist Perk for a major boost later in the match.
Resurgence also receives the stackable Quickdrop Kit, which cuts down a squad’s redeployment time. Players earn it by completing a Most Wanted Contract and surviving the contract period.
Special Delivery Drones will appear in Battle Royale and Resurgence. Shooting one down can award Weapon Camos, including “Heavy Metal” in Verdansk and Avalon Battle Royale modes and “War Machine” in Resurgence modes.
New Weapons, Attachments, and Season 05 Events
The two-handed Mace arrives as a Weekly Challenge reward. It has 30 levels, supports Mastery Badges and Blueprint customization, and focuses on high damage and long reach at the cost of slower attacks. Weapon Prestige adds Universal Camos at Prestige 1, Prestige 2, and Prestige Max.
Two more Weekly Challenge rewards are coming in-season:
- RK-9 Calibrated Strike System: A Barrel attachment for the RK-9 SMG that uses bloom rounds, with an indicator showing the preferred range for maximum damage.
- Peacekeeper MK1 Gauss Accelerator: A Fire Mods attachment that silently fires two electromagnetically accelerated projectiles. It improves ballistics but reduces handling and mobility.
The Last Call event lets players earn XP in Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone for rewards including the Mace, two Operator Skins, a Loading Screen, a Weapon Charm, and other cosmetics. The Freerun: Descent Challenge Event adds Weapon Camos, Calling Cards, a Loading Screen, a Weapon Charm, and the “Vibrant Aurora” Peacekeeper MK1 Assault Rifle Blueprint.
Warzone Ranked Play will also receive a Season 05 Reloaded event with 50-player leaderboards for every rank. Top placements can earn Emblems and Weapon Camos, while Ranked Play wins provide an additional Weapon Charm and Large Decal.
Finally, the Store will add several themed bundles, including Tracer Pack: Lord of the Dead, Tracer Pack: Burn Directive, Tracer Pack: Infinite Void Reactive Ultra Skin Bundle, Tracer Pack: Stellar Dynasty, Tracer Pack: Stranded, and the Mil-Sim-focused Sticks and Stones Bundle. The new offerings include Ultra Skins, Reactive content, Mastercraft Weapon Blueprints, and Zombies-themed items tied to Rex Infernus.
