Team Fortress 2 Creators Have Until August 29 to Brew New Halloween Spells

The community-run Workshop contest offers key and item prizes, with a prize pool advertised at more than 30 keys.

Team Fortress 2 creators have until August 29 to submit new Halloween spells for a community-run Workshop contest. The official Team Fortress announcement calls on artists and item makers to take part in The Witching Hour before submissions close.

The contest is built around Scream Fortress, inviting participants to create spells, curses, and other Halloween-themed concoctions. The best entries will be collected and sold, with the proceeds helping Merasmus pay off his debt to Lukapher the Flatulent and his gang of ghosts.

Prizes include keys and in-game items. The contest artwork advertises a prize pool of more than 30 keys, giving creators plenty of reason to dust off the Workshop and start brewing something suitably strange.

How to enter The Witching Hour

The Witching Hour is community-run, and the full rules and submission instructions are available through its Discord server. The announcement does not provide a separate submission page, so participants will need to use that community channel for the contest requirements.

Submissions close on August 29. Until then, creators can submit their most profitable-looking spells, legally safe-ish tinctures, and curses before Merasmus’s latest money-making scheme reaches its deadline.
