Euro Truck Simulator 2 Will Make Its Tokyo Game Show Debut in September

Visitors can try the Iceland DLC, while SCS Software is still working toward a possible PlayStation 5 hands-on build.

SCS Software will make its first Tokyo Game Show appearance when the event begins on September 17, 2026. The developer announced in its Steam announcement that it will bring Euro Truck Simulator 2 and several other upcoming projects to Tokyo.

The 30th anniversary edition of Tokyo Game Show 2026 will run for five full days, from September 17 through September 21. SCS Software will set up in Hall 09, Booth E86, with support from Neon Noroshi.

The first two days will focus on gaming industry professionals, while the final three days will be open to the public. That gives visitors a chance to stop by the booth, meet the team, and try several of SCS Software’s upcoming projects.

Several truck-driving projects will be playable

The confirmed hands-on lineup includes the upcoming Iceland DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Fans of American Truck Simulator will also be able to try the upcoming British Columbia and South Dakota map expansions.

SCS Software is also working to bring playable demonstrations of the upcoming Road Trip project and Coaches. The studio is even hoping to show a PlayStation 5 version of Euro Truck Simulator 2, although it has not promised that the build will be ready for visitors.

Japanese-speaking attendees will have access to language interpreters throughout the event. SCS Software says the support will make it easier for visitors to ask questions, chat with the team, and spend time at the booth comfortably.
