Borderlands 4’s Dead ECHOs Episode 4 Has Watts and Junie Fighting for Air

The latest chapter puts DAHL Management on the pair's heels while teasing guest stars, Boom Rooms, old lady wigs, and an attempted fridging.

Borderlands: Dead ECHOs has reached Episode 4, and Watts and Junie are dealing with a threat that cannot be conned, shot, or sweet-talked away: the room is running out of air. The latest Steam post puts DAHL Management against the pair as the corporation finds a literal way to remove oxygen from their surroundings.

Watts and Junie’s odd-couple partnership, introduced in the Dead ECHOs launch story, now faces its most dangerous obstacle yet. Watts is a disenchanted DAHL ECHO Operator who makes extra money by selling secrets pulled from undeliverable ECHO logs. After Junie gets him out of a jam, she pushes their small-time operation toward a Robin Hood angle.

DAHL Management turns up the pressure

Their ECHO-brokering business has attracted mercenaries, violent outlaws, and DAHL’s corporate hit squad, led by rogue executive Vivian Proctor. Episode 4 adds an oxygen crisis to that mess, leaving the pair with a problem that is both deadly and perfectly suited to the series’ dark comedy.

There is plenty more chaos in the mix, too. The episode teases guest stars and cantankerous cameos alongside big sacks of cash, “prestigious institutes of higher laughing,” old lady wigs, Boom Rooms, and an attempted fridging. It is a very Borderlands collection of problems.
