The Blue Blur Has a Fortnite Date: August 20
An official teaser shows Sonic racing through a Green Hill Zone-inspired area and ends with a Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override title card, but reveals no outfits or in-game event.

Sonic the Hedgehog is scheduled to appear in Fortnite on August 20, according to a Fortnite Battle Royale community post that includes a video credited to the Official Sonic YouTube Channel.
The announcement gives Fortnite players a date for the crossover, but not much else. The post does not identify any outfits, items, quests, or special event, so the exact form of Sonic’s arrival remains unknown.
An official teaser posted on August 10 adds a little speed to the mystery. A banana character charges through a Green Hill Zone-inspired loop-de-loop before Sonic spin-dashes into view, grabs a ring, and zips across the course. The clip ends on a title card for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override.

The timing matches earlier reports about Fortnite’s mid-August season, which linked Sonic with a wider group of gaming franchises. Those reports also left the crossover lineup unconfirmed, and the August 20 date still does not reveal what players will be able to find in-game.
For now, August 20 is the date attached to Sonic’s Fortnite debut. More information will be needed before the collaboration’s full contents are clear.
