Pokémon GO is telling a player that August Community Day is happening “Today,” even though the event is not scheduled for the current day. The mismatch appears in an in-game announcement.
The alert pairs “August Community Day” with a megaphone icon and the word “Today.” It also includes a “SEE DETAILS” button and artwork showing an orange Pokémon in a forest, but the card itself does not provide a date for the event.
With no date shown, “Today” may be an incorrect label rather than a sign that August Community Day has started. This example also does not establish how broadly the issue is affecting players.
For now, Trainers should treat the timing on this alert cautiously rather than assume the event schedule has changed.
It is a small glitch, but a particularly confusing one. A Community Day reminder with the wrong day attached is not much help. Have you seen the same mix-up in Pokémon GO? Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
