Sports Renovations requires an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential membership and runs from August 6 through August 9. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint are open to all Xbox members during the same period, with no Game Pass membership required. Wax Heads also offers a two-hour timed trial during the event.

Sports Renovations
Sports Renovations is a story-driven restoration simulator set around old gyms, courts, and sports fields. Players repair worn-down facilities, repaint walls, clean up neglected spaces, and customize each location before showing the results to the city’s mayor. The game supports Xbox Series X|S and is available from August 6 through August 9 for Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
Wildlands sends players back to Bolivia for an operation involving La Llorona, a cult leader hiding in swamps and dense forests. The featured mission is part of the free Last Rites update. All Xbox members can play from August 6 through August 9.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Breakpoint puts players in the role of a Ghost stranded on Auroa, a remote island controlled by Skell Technology and occupied by the rogue Wolves. The squad must protect civilians and survive an operation led by the player character’s former brother-in-arms. The trial supports Xbox Series X|S and runs from August 6 through August 9 for all Xbox members.
NBA 2K26 arrives on August 7
NBA 2K26 Standard Edition will be free for all Xbox members to try from August 7 through August 14. Xbox Series X|S players can manage a franchise in MyNBA, while Xbox One players have access to MyLEAGUE. The trial also includes MyCAREER, MyTEAM, The W, and Play Now, along with the game’s ProPLAY-powered presentation.
Players who decide to keep the game can also check the three active NBA 2K26 locker codes for extra in-game rewards.
Wax Heads offers a two-hour music-store trial
Wax Heads gives all Xbox members a two-hour trial at Repeater Records. This cozy-punk narrative simulator has players recommend records to eccentric customers while working through a handcrafted collection of music. It supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.
How to access the games
Players can find each title through its individual page on Xbox.com, which directs them to the Microsoft Store. Members must be signed in to see the install option tied to their subscription. On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, open the Store, select the Subscriptions tab, and find the Free Play Days collection.
Buying a game during the promotion lets players continue playing after the trial while keeping the Gamerscore and achievements earned during the event. Discounts and availability can differ by title and region.
