The Left Behind’s Update 1.0.1 Will Add Safehouse Saves and Zombie Fixes
The patch will also temporarily disable bikes and crawling zombies while improving movement, performance, and day/night cycles.

The Left Behind will receive Update 1.0.1 on August 4, 2026, with a save system for Story and Easy modes among its biggest additions. The developer announced the patch in a Steam announcement, which also details movement changes, zombie behavior adjustments, and several bug fixes.
Saving will be tied to safehouses placed around the map. Players will be able to use those locations to preserve their story progress, giving the campaign a more dependable way to track advancement.
The update will also temporarily remove bikes and crawling zombies. Character movement and zombie movement will receive adjustments, while performance work and fixes for visual problems should make the open-world map easier to play. Longer day and night cycles, a higher health-item spawn rate, and a revised main menu round out the update.
The developer said this is the first of multiple updates planned for the game. The next patch is expected to focus on more visual and feature improvements, a map available through a shortcut, tutorial changes, and revisions to the level-up system. No date was provided for that follow-up update.
