An Escape from Tarkov player reported a strange Kord Breach bug that allegedly created a second Kappa container after the game crashed during seasonal perk selection. The same report claims the crash also doubled the character’s positive and negative modifiers.
According to Reddit user /u/Opposite_Strain_1913, the game crashed after they accepted their seasonal perks. When they returned, the game reportedly sent them through faction selection, naming, and the tutorial again. After completing that process, their inventory appeared to contain two Kappa containers.
The attached screenshot appears to show two matching containers in the inventory, but the report comes from a single player and has not been independently confirmed. There is also no indication that Battlestate Games has acknowledged the issue.
The player said the duplicated modifiers produced a very high bolt-action skill, but the result was not entirely helpful. Their selected Polydipsia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome penalties reportedly caused food and water levels to reach zero soon after starting a raid.
The post’s author also wondered whether forcing another crash after selecting favorable modifiers could let players choose perks that were unavailable during the original setup. That possibility remains an unverified interpretation, not a confirmed method or recommendation. Players should avoid trying to reproduce the issue on an important character until more information is available.
