Warlock will bring Maggie Robertson’s sinister voice to Dungeons & Dragons
Maggie Robertson will play the protagonist's supernatural patron Tasha, while Tricia Helfer will voice the main character in this 2027 D&D adventure.

Wizards of the Coast’s upcoming open-world Dungeons & Dragons game Warlock will feature Maggie Robertson as Tasha, a powerful archmage and demonologist from the Forgotten Realms. Robertson is already well known for voicing Orin the Red in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
Robertson will also provide Tasha’s motion performance capture, giving the character more than a recognizable voice. Tasha’s role in the story is becoming clearer: she is an archfey with her own domain who serves as the protagonist’s supernatural patron. Through a pact, she will grant the player character powers including eldritch blasts and level-one control spells, according to PC Gamer.
The game is being developed by Invoke Studios and is planned as an entirely single-player experience. Wizards of the Coast previously confirmed that it will not follow the turn-based RPG format used by Baldur’s Gate 3. The project also will not use dice rolls, pointing toward a more action-focused take on the tabletop setting.
Warlock appears to be built around magic, with its open-world structure offering a different kind of Forgotten Realms adventure. The available details are still limited, but the combination of exploration, spellcasting, and a single-player story gives the project its own identity rather than positioning it as a direct successor to Baldur’s Gate 3.
Robertson will be joined by Tricia Helfer, known for Battlestar Galactica and Lucifer, who will voice Kaatri, the game’s protagonist. Helfer has also played EDI in the Mass Effect series, Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat X, and Sarah Kerrigan in StarCraft 2. That creates an interesting setup on paper, with Kaatri sharing the story with a powerful mage whose pact and reputation suggest that trust will be difficult to maintain.
Warlock gameplay will debut at Gamescom
Details about the game remain limited, but its first gameplay footage is planned to debut at Gamescom in Cologne. The event is scheduled to run from August 26–30, 2026, offering a fuller look at the combat and pact-based abilities ahead of the game’s planned 2027 release.
Warlock is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2027. Until Wizards of the Coast and Invoke Studios share more, Tasha’s full place in the plot and the relationship between her and Kaatri remain under wraps.
