War Thunder is marking the founding of the Swiss Air Force with a limited discount on the FFA P-16. The Rank VI fighter is available for 6,363 Golden Eagles through August 3 at 11:00 GMT, according to Gaijin Entertainment’s Steam announcement.
The promotion covers the period from July 30 at 11:00 GMT until August 3 at 11:00 GMT. Players can find the aircraft under Germany > Aviation > Premium vehicles.
Once the sale ends, the FFA P-16 will remain available at its standard price of 9,090 Golden Eagles. The discount cuts 2,727 Golden Eagles from that price, giving pilots a short window to pick up the Swiss fighter for less.
What the FFA P-16 Brings
The Swiss Air Force’s history dates back to July 31, 1914, during the early period of the First World War. Switzerland maintained neutrality during the conflicts involving its neighbors, but its aircraft intercepted airspace violators from both the Axis and Allied sides during the Second World War.
In the game, the FFA P-16 is built as a mid-1950s fighter with a versatile loadout. Its main weapons are powerful 30 mm nose-mounted cannons, while its missile options include the Flz Lwf 63, the Swiss designation for the AIM-9 Sidewinder.

The aircraft can also handle ground-attack work with its internal rocket bay. Players who want to review the P-16’s full vehicle details can find them in the War Thunder wiki entry.
The sale gives pilots until August 3 at 11:00 GMT to buy the FFA P-16 at its reduced price. Share your thoughts on the aircraft in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
