skate. Keeps X Games San Van Moving With New Challenges and Contests
The event remains open through August 25, while the next challenge refresh arrives on August 4.

skate. is keeping X Games San Van active with open Stadium access, a new challenge refresh, and more community contests. The event began on July 21 and will continue through August 25, 2026, with no Rip Chips or skate.Premium Pass required to enter The Stadium.
Full Circle shared the latest schedule and development notes in its July 28 Steam announcement. Players can represent any of the four featured cities by picking up X Games San Van items from the shop, then take those looks into Spot Battles and compete for the top spots.
What is happening this week
The X Games Challenges will refresh on August 4. Completing them will give players another chance to collect X Games-themed gear during the event.
The Weekly Grind and new weekly and monthly tasks returned on July 28. The calendar also includes judging for the Design a Deck UGC Contest, which has received more than 200 submissions.
The X Games “Best Run” Video Contest will run from July 31 through August 5. More details are expected later this week. Full Circle is also contacting the finalists from the Fingerflips Video Contest within two days of the announcement.
A behind-the-scenes voice recording video featuring Dashawn is also part of the latest community update.
Looking ahead, Full Circle mentioned a progression update focused on new ways to play, progress, and earn. The team also plans to share more information about the road to Season 5 over the next few weeks, along with interviews about X Games San Van’s design and Spot Battles next week.
Players can continue sending bug reports through the official skate. bug reports forum.
Known issues under investigation
The team is still tracking several problems, including export failures, task display bugs, graphics setting errors, and issues affecting tricks, menus, friends lists, and X Games content.
- Some players cannot export clips in MP4 format. On PC, exporting in WebM works as a workaround.
- Pinned tasks can disappear after the game reconnects following inactivity.
- The graphics screen may show incorrect settings after a graphics preset is changed.
- The 16:9 centered HUD and full-width and height UI options do not work in Windowed mode.
- Daily and Mastery Task sections can appear blank.
- The Quick Drop radial menu may temporarily reset after joining a server.
- AMD driver 26.6.1 can cause skate. to crash. Reverting to driver 26.5.2 and restarting the game is the current workaround.
- Tailslides and Noseslides may not register correctly when a ledge is approached from the end.
- The friends list can show duplicate entries or fail to show a friend.
- Wallride detection can make a skater flip in an unnatural way.
- The Smith to Tailslide task may fail to register even when completed correctly.
- The wrong item can appear when something is placed through the Quick Drop menu.
- The X Games intro video, mission, tasks, and challenges may be missing on the first login after update 0.31.5.
- Pinned tasks can cycle when players perform gestures.
- Players may be unable to find non-friend accounts with Skater codes.
- A Quick Ollie or Nollie into a No-Foot Grab can cause the legs to clip through the board.
