Overwatch 2’s July 28 patch fixes Lifeweaver, Mercy, and Stadium bugs
The small retail update also removes previously completed event challenges from the menu and wipes replay codes.

Blizzard’s official Overwatch 2 patch notes for July 28, 2026, cover a small bug-fix update across the general game, Heroes, Competitive Play, and Stadium. The update also wipes replay codes.
The hero fixes target Lifeweaver and Mercy. Lifeweaver’s Healing Blossom should no longer release by itself when players switch weapons, while Mercy will no longer receive extra self-healing from the Medic Subrole.
For players working through event content, completed event challenges should no longer reappear in the challenges menu. The Stadium section also includes a fix for D.Va’s Three Tap Tommy Gun.
The Competitive Play notes reference a tab added in a previous update that explains the mechanics and rules of Hero Bans. For context, the July 14 patch also introduced the 2026 Summer Games event and a broad hero balance pass.
