World of Warcraft Hotfix Fixes Dance of Midnight’s Damage Reduction Bug

Blizzard corrected an issue where Death Knight Apex talent ranks 2 and 3 increased incoming damage instead of reducing it.

Blizzard fixed a bug affecting the Death Knight Apex talent Dance of Midnight. Ranks 2 and 3 were increasing damage taken instead of reducing it, leaving players with the opposite effect from the talent’s intended function.

The hotfix was deployed on Friday at about 12:30 p.m. PDT, according to Blizzard’s official forum post. The developer said the correction would also appear in its next hotfixes update.

For Death Knight players using Dance of Midnight, ranks 2 and 3 now provide their intended defensive benefit. The change addresses the talent’s damage-taken calculation rather than adding a broader class adjustment.
