The MongolZ Close Out Wildcard and Punch Their Ticket to Malta
Zolbayar "tikuak" Chimedtseren powered the Dust2 opener before The MongolZ finished the 2-0 series on Inferno.

The MongolZ secured a place in the BLAST Bounty LAN finals on July 26 after sweeping Wildcard 2-0. The result sends the Mongolian squad to Malta for the opening event of its season.
The series began on Dust2, where Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren made an immediate impact. The MongolZ opened with a 6-1 lead after converting a force-buy round on the CT side, and tikuak anchored several strong holds around A.
Wildcard fought back late in the half and then used the CT pistol round to draw level. Once The MongolZ had rifles in hand, though, the map tilted back in their favor. Tikuak continued to find openings and helped his team pull away to take the first map.
Inferno was far less one-sided. Both teams traded rounds through a scrappy opening half, with low-buy victories keeping Wildcard in contention. The score reached 9-9 before The MongolZ tightened their defense and used coordinated crossfires to control the closing stretch.
That late push gave The MongolZ the map and the series, completing the 2-0 sweep and confirming their spot in the BLAST Bounty LAN finals.
With the Malta finals secured, The MongolZ will carry this win into the first LAN stage of their season. Tell us what you think of their sweep in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
