Warzone Season 5 Gives the M15 Mod 0 Room to Breathe
The July 23 update will also reduce vehicle durability in smaller squad playlists and add the Drone Labs POI to Verdansk.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 will go live on July 23 at 11am CT / 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST. The update will bring a wide set of weapon balance changes, new gameplay adjustments, the Drone Labs POI on Verdansk, and the Juggernaut Armor suit.
The M15 Mod 0 is one of the clearest winners in the update, while the Carbon 57 and AK-27 are among the weapons receiving reductions. Raven Software and Activision are also adjusting vehicles, respawn locations, underwater gunfights, and the Resurgence economy.
Warzone Season 5 weapon changes
The M15 Mod 0 will receive more damage, a longer effective range, and faster bullet velocity. Those changes should give the assault rifle a better chance in long-range fights when the Season 5 update arrives.
The AN-94 will gain higher minimum damage, a better headshot multiplier, and faster aim-down-sight speed. The Voyak KT-3 will also benefit from lower base recoil. On the SMG side, the Sturmwolf 45 will deal more damage in its maximum and medium damage ranges, while the VST will receive a small range increase. The REV 46 will have a higher headshot multiplier and faster ADS speed.
Several assault rifles are being pulled back. The MXR-17 will lose damage, range, ADS speed, and bullet velocity. The AK-27 will deal less damage and have reduced range and bullet velocity. The X9 Maverick will receive similar reductions, along with slower ADS speed.
The Carbon 57 is facing a particularly harsh round of changes. Its damage, effective range, and headshot multiplier will be reduced, while the Fabricator Mag attachment will add a new one-second delay. The Dravec 45 will also lose damage and effective range.
The Swordfish A1 will be less effective in burst fire. Its base burst-fire delay will increase, and the MFS Penta Burst Mod Prestige Attachment will add more recoil while providing a smaller improvement to burst-fire delay.
Vehicles will be easier to counter in smaller squads
Vehicle durability will now depend on the squad size. Vehicles will take approximately 30 percent more damage in Solos, 20 percent more in Duos, and 10 percent more in Trios. Quads will remain unchanged.
The adjustment is aimed at giving smaller teams more ways to deal with vehicles, including the Armed JLTV that will arrive with the Drone Labs POI on Verdansk.
Respawns, underwater combat, and Resurgence economy updates
Respawn positioning will be more consistent when a player has no living squadmates. Instead of placing players in unfavorable areas, the system will favor locations closer to where they previously died.
Underwater combat will also receive a pass. Bullet behavior will be standardized across weapon classes, bullet travel distance will increase for every weapon category, and bullet gravity underwater will be reduced.
Resurgence Supply Boxes will receive loot and cash adjustments. Legendary Supply Boxes will provide Killstreaks less often, placing more weight on gunfights. The maximum cash from Grey and Blue Supply Boxes will fall to $2,000, while Orange Supply Boxes will offer up to $5,000.
Black Ops Royale will receive more changes, and the update will include bug fixes across several playlists. The full details are available in the official Warzone Season 5 patch notes.
