World of Warcraft’s Next PvP Pass Cuts Demon Hunter Defense and Rebalances Healers
The 12.0.7 tuning will arrive with weekly maintenance, bringing weaker Demon Hunter mitigation alongside buffs for Holy, Discipline, and Restoration players.

Blizzard has announced another round of World of Warcraft class tuning for the live 12.0.7 realms. The changes are aimed at PvP and will arrive with the weekly reset, rather than going live immediately.
Demon Hunter survivability is the main target on the damage-dealing side. Both Devourer and Havoc will lose some shared defensive power, while several healer specializations receive adjustments. Holy Priests gain both healing and damage, Discipline Priests get a healing increase, and Restoration Shamans receive a stronger Riptide.
Mistweavers are moving in the opposite direction. Their PvP healing through Way of the Crane will be reduced sharply, with the change aimed at limiting their output against clustered targets and pet-based teams.
Blizzard outlined the complete list in its official class-tuning forum post.
12.0.7 PvP Patch Notes
The upcoming adjustments lower Demon Hunter mitigation, reduce Mistweaver healing conversion, and improve the PvP performance of Holy, Discipline, and Restoration builds.
- Demon Hunter
- Developers’ notes: Both Devourer and Havoc Demon Hunters have been more difficult to land kills against than intended. We’re reducing the potency of shared mitigation effects that are contributing to their survival.
- Demon Muzzle now reduces magic damage taken by 5% in PvP combat (was 15%).
- Glimpse now reduces damage taken by 25% (was 35%) while airborne after using Vengeful Retreat.
- Monk
- Mistweaver
- Developers’ notes: We’re reducing Mistweavers’ ability to heal versus clumped targets in PvP since they’ve been outputting more healing than we’d like against pet classes.
- Way of the Crane now transfers 100% of Spinning Crane Kick’s damage into healing in PvP Combat (was 340%).
- Mistweaver
- Priest
- Holy
- Developers’ notes: We’re increasing overall healing and providing an opportunity for Holy Priests to contribute offensively to secure kills with their team.
- Holy Fire direct damage increased by 15%.
- Holy Fire periodic damage increased by 27%.
- All healing increased by 3%.
- Discipline
- Healing of all spells increased by 3% in PvP combat.
- Holy
- Shaman
- Restoration
- Developers’ notes: Restoration Shaman healing performance has been slightly behind other healers in PvP, so we’re targeting an increase to their instant healing capabilities.
- Riptide healing increased by 15% in PvP combat.
- Restoration
