Kingdom Hearts 4 Fans Have a New Date to Watch
Disney will host a dedicated Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary panel at D23 on August 15, 2026.

Disney has announced a dedicated Kingdom Hearts panel for D23, giving fans their clearest upcoming opportunity to hear more about Kingdom Hearts 4. The presentation will celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary and take place on the Backlot Stage on August 15, 2026.
The official D23 schedule calls the presentation a Kingdom Hearts Deep Dive. Disney has not confirmed that the panel will include a release date or window for the next mainline game, but that is the information many fans will be watching for.
Kingdom Hearts 3 launched in 2019, while Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced in 2022. The sequel still does not have a release window, leaving players with only brief updates and trailer footage as development continues.
What Could the D23 Panel Reveal?
The event’s confirmed focus is the history of Kingdom Hearts, so the presentation could spend much of its time looking back at the series. A new trailer, more story details, or a release window for Kingdom Hearts 4 would give the event a much bigger impact, but none of those announcements have been confirmed.
Other projects could also appear. The canceled mobile game Kingdom Hearts Missing Link had connections to the wider story, and the franchise has previously been linked to an animated television project that never moved forward. Disney has not announced that either project is returning.
For now, the August 15 panel is the firm piece of information. Any update on Kingdom Hearts 4 will have to wait until Disney and Square Enix decide how much they are ready to show.
