Battlestate Games has opened the Expansion Hub for Escape from Tarkov, giving the game an in-client store that sits alongside the website-based Expansions page. The new system also introduces TarCoin, a currency that only works inside the hub.

TarCoins can be found in raids, and if you extract with them, they are automatically added to your TarCoin balance. They can also be purchased through the Expansion Hub, the official website, or Steam, then spent on items sold in the in-game store.
The hub carries the same broad category of purchases players already know, including PMC apparel, stash lines, the PvE Upgrade, and PMC voice packs. It also changes how some of those items are sold, since tops and bottoms can be bought separately, apparel bundles group multiple outfits at a discount, and stash line value packs are available when they do not push your stash past its limit. If none of the stash line bundles are available, you can still buy 2 or 4 stash lines separately.
Battlestate Games said items sold in both places are identical whether you buy them on the website or in the hub. The big exceptions are the pricing rules around bundles: the USEC Veteran Apparel Pack, BEAR Veteran Apparel Pack, PMC Veteran Apparel Pack, and Executive PMC Pack keep their listed price even if you already own some of the items, while other clothing bundles are reduced automatically based on what is already in your account.
Edition upgrades are also available through the hub, but those purchases use real-world currency rather than TarCoins. Battlestate Games also highlighted a one-time 2,000 TarCoins pack with 100% bonus value, and noted that Steam purchases may take a little longer to land in your account.
