Sony announced July’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, and the lineup leans in three different directions. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III sits at the top, with For the King II and CrossCode filling out the month.
The three games will be available from Tuesday, July 7 through Monday, August 3. Sony also said the lineup may differ by region, so the store listing can vary depending on where you play.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives as the Cross-Gen Bundle for PS5 and PS4. The campaign follows Captain Price and Task Force 141 as they go after Vladimir Makarov, while Multiplayer brings back the 16 launch maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 with updated visuals, new modes, and fresh gameplay features. The package also includes Modern Warfare Zombies, where squads can team up in the largest Zombies map yet.
For the King II
For the King II puts Queen Rosomon at the center of the conflict. Once loved by her people, she now forces them into the mines of Fahrul and leans on darker allies to hold power. Players can go solo or form a four-player co-op party to push back against her rule. The sequel uses an updated engine and keeps the roguelite tabletop style that made the first game stand out.

CrossCode
CrossCode brings a retro look to a fast action RPG built around timing, puzzles, and gear. The game mixes 16-bit style visuals with quick combat and a sci-fi story, then layers in dungeon-style puzzles and a deep equipment and skill system. It is the kind of game that cares as much about brains as reflexes.

July gives PlayStation Plus a little bit of everything, from a big military shooter to two very different RPGs. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
